Fly DVD Copier in not a DVD converter or a ripper, it will only allow you to make exact copies of your DVDs. The operation could not be any simpler. The program automatically detects the discs inserted in your DVD drive, so you just need to choose the copy target. In this regard, there are two main types of targets: a blank DVD or a location in your hard drive. The latter will create an ISO file, identical to the original DVD. This will be very useful if you want to store copies of your DVDs, so in case a DVD gets scratched or lost, you may recopy it onto a blank disc. It is also helpful when you need to make frequent copies of the same disc. Additionally, you can use a DVD emulator to load the image and make it work just as if the disc was actually inserted.
Although the interface is easy to use, it comes with an unprofessionally looking skin, which can be changed into another rather plain skin. The designers have wisely excluded most options from the main screen, and they are available through a small button in the upper right corner of the window. However, if you are an expert user, you may find interesting options there. Perhaps, the most exclusive option is one that allows compressing a 9 Gb DVD into a 4.7 Gb DVD. Additionally, there are options that will let you ignore read errors, remove prohibitions, add a password to copied DVDs, keep region code, erase rewriteable DVDs automatically, prompt when burning multiple copies and clear temporal directory after the copying process have finished.
In a few words, Fly DVD Copier will be ideal for those users that value simplicity and usefulness over sophistication.
